School Supply Lists Fall 2010

Back to School...is not so fun if you don't have what you need!

Children throughout Memphis will be heading back to school this August and dreading it, because they do not have the necessary learning tools and the required uniforms.  Low-income families in our neighborhood need your help. 

Uniform Drive: Please consider purchasing black, navy or khaki pants and/or white or black collared shirts for children in need this fall.  All sizes are needed: children's 5/6, 7/8, 10/12, 14/16 and adult.  We always need more large sizes.  Bring your items to Hope Church by August 1st.  We can also do the shopping for you.  Make a donation online and we'll purchase the items in bulk at discount prices.

Going Deeper...Building Relationships

If you have a heart for kids and would like to make a deeper impact we will once again be recruiting volunteers to assist us with the following: 
1) Tutoring at KIPP Diamond Academy/various times including evenings and weekends!
3) Homework Help Center/Bickford Gym/T-TH/2:30-3:30pm
4) Read 2 Succeed (one-on-one reading with elementary students)/M, T or W 4:30-6:00pm.
