Sign Up with Amazon Smile and Re-Enroll Your Kroger Card

February 08, 2017

kroger 275x303Kroger Requires You to Re-Enroll Your Desired Non-Profit Each January: Shop at Kroger and Donate 3-5% without writing a check!

Each January 1st, all Kroger Community Reward Participants are required to renew their organization of choice to receive Kroger reward payments. We are hoping you will choose Oasis of Hope!

It may seem like a small act, but it’s a huge help! Designating Oasis of Hope on your Kroger card allows you to donate to our ministry each time you shop for groceries or buy gas!

For example, if 2,500 people spent $100, Oasis could receive a total of $7,500!

We can do a lot of ministry with that!

It takes about 3 minutes and registering your Kroger Plus Card is easier than ever:

If you already have an existing Kroger account:

  1. Sign in to your Kroger account at www.kroger.com/communityrewards
  2. Click ‘View Your Rewards Details,’ edit your Community Rewards, and search for ‘Oasis of Hope’ (or 80469). Click ‘enroll’

If you are registering your Kroger account for the first time:

  1. Creat an account at www.kroger.com/communityrewards
  2. Follow the prompts to enter your email, password, & address.
  3. Click ‘View Your Rewards Details’ and designate Oasis of Hope as your Community Rewards recipient by typing ‘Oasis of Hope’ in the Search box (or #80469). Click ‘enroll’

That’s it!

amazon-smile-logo110x116AmazonSmile will donate 0.5% of eligible purchases to Oasis of Hope! Same products, same service!

To designate your existing Amazon account:

  1. Go to www.smile.amazon.com (email/password); click ‘Sign In’
  2. Type “Oasis of Hope” in the search field (Cordova, TN) & select … then Start Shopping! From then on Amazon will remind you to sign in with using the ‘Smile’ site every time you log on.

Shop online via Smile.Amazon.com rather than Amazon.com. Smile.Amazon.com has the same products, prices, and service as Amazon.com, and Oasis of Hope will receive a donation from Amazon equal to .5% of your purchases placed through Smile.Amazon.com.

Invite family and friends from across the country to support Oasis of Hope by designating Oasis of Hope, Inc. on their Amazon account and shop through Smile.Amazon.com.

They Just Don’t Do VBS Like This in the Burbs; What a Blast!

June 18, 2013

2013-6-vbs-shelby-farms-100Check out our VBS Photo Gallery! For three days, infants to adults packed out the Bickford Community Center to either participate or help lead the VBS fun! As each day arrived we grew in numbers and ended with about 70 kids who explored God’s Word, played games, sang worship songs, made crafts (of course!), and more!

But our big finale on the last day when we bussed everyone to Shelby Farms made our 2nd annual ‘Day of Fun in the Sun’ an even bigger success than last year! Our kids and volunteers experienced paddle-boating on the lake, bike riding on the trail, playing in the fantastic spider web & other playgrounds, and several other recreational/sporting events. And of course there was always lots and lots of food!

Each year when we arrive at the end of a huge, multi-day event like VBS, we are FILLED with gratitude and SO MUCH appreciation for all our wonderful volunteers who were willing to brave the chaos, the needed flexibility, the heat, and the organized craziness to help us pull off such a successful and FUN time together of sharing about God’s love and building relationships. So – a very sincere and special thank to all of our wonderful volunteers who helped us out as well as the Hope staff members, the Hope Youth Department and the Oasis Bike Shop team who brought this year’s VBS to an extra special level!

Until next year!

VBS is June17-20 with a Grand Finale and We Need You!

We Gathered to Remember and to Look Forward with Hope

March 10, 2013

Honoring Ms. Karen: On Wednesday, February 27, we hosted a dinner for our Oasis families in honor of Karen Durham, who went home to be with the Lord. It also gave our families the opportunity to know more about what Oasis of Hope is all about. The dinner was held at Bickford Community Center, and we had about 150 people in attendance for what turned out to be a very special evening. Please continue to pray for Karen’s family and loved ones!

Vacation Bible School Wraps Up With a Grand Finale!

June 05, 2012

Event Re-Cap:  VBS was a huge blessing this year! For three days, 70 kids came and experienced God through Bible stories, games, and fun! On the fourth day we took a field trip to Shelby Farms where kids got to experience so many new things like paddle-boating, horseback riding, biking the trails and more! We had feedback from parents and kids who were so grateful that they got to leave a sometimes ‘difficult’ home-life, and just have fun! We really appreciate all of the wonderful volunteers who made this week possible including a special thanks to The Bike Shop coordinator Bill Jurgens for organizing the Shelby Farms event!

VBS Loves Snacks! Can You Donate Some?

June 01, 2012

We are needing lots and lots of donations of individually wrapped, single serving:  fruit snacks, roll ups, rice krispie treats, chips (1 oz bags), cookies, cheese-its, capri sun drinks or monetary donations. Carts for donations will be in the foyers at Hope Presbyterian Church. If you are unable to volunteer  your time, donating snacks or money is very much needed as well and is a BIG help!  For more information contact Di (507-1920).
