Have you Enrolled to Run/Walk the Hope 5K on July 12

hope-5k-tennis-shoesHave a passion for inner city ministry?  Have a passion for exercising?  Then how about combining the two and helping to raise money for Oasis of Hope and Multi-National Ministries by running in the Hope 5K on July 12th at 8am? We are looking for sponsors, door prizes, vendors for the expo after the race, volunteers, runners and walkers! Contact Di for more information (507-1920).

Registration:  Online; or at Breakaway Running, 1997 Union Avenue; Breakaway Running; and 1223 Germantown Parkway. Cost: $18/pre-registration, (are you a MRTC member? If so, use PREREG), $25/late registration (after 6/14/14), and day of race registrations. Packet Pick-up and registrations (packets will not be mailed):  Thursday, July 10th – at Breakaway Running, 1223 Germantown Parkway, 901/754-8254; Friday, July 11 – Hope Church/South Foyer from 5-6pm; and Saturday, July 12th (race day) from 7-7:45am (Hope Church/West Parking Lot).

Race Benefits:  Oasis of Hope Ministry: a non-profit, community based Christian organization that encourages life-on-life relationships in North Memphis. It is a ministry of partnerships connecting people across racial and socioeconomic boundaries in the North Memphis neighborhood, 38107 zip code; and Multi-National Ministries that show kindness to refugees and immigrants, helping them understand the culture, attain academic success and feel the love of God. They do mission work as well right here in Memphis. 
 
Divisions – Male & Female:  9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+. Awards will be presented to the:  Overall male and female winners, overall male and female master’s winners (40-49), overall male and female grand master’s winners (50 and over), overall male and female wheelchair winners, and three deep to the male and female winners in the age division. Overall winners are not eligible to win their age divisions. There will be no duplication of awards among the Open, Master’s and Grandmaster’s winners.
 
For the safety of all participants, NO rollerblades, skates, bicycles or pets are allowed in the race.  Walkers may use strollers, but must start at the back so competing runners will not be impeded.
