OASIS APPLIANCE & HOME FURNISHINGS:

New logoThis year we are celebrating our 10th year in business by continuing to provide affordable, needed home items in an under-resourced community as well as offering employment and job training. We want to make it the best year yet!

Here’s how you can help:
- Volunteer: we need people to work in the retail store (customer service, sales, cleaning products, sorting/pricing items, appliance repair, etc.)
- Donate: send us your gently used donations of appliances, furniture, and home décor. You can drop off items in the trailer at Hope Church in the parking lot, or contact us to pick up your large items
- Shop: we need customers to make the business work; so please come and shop!

We are located at 1294 Thomas Street in North Memphis. Store hours are Tuesday – Saturday from 10 AM-4 PM. For more information, contact us at 901-577-0013, email us at dana.driver@oohmemphis.com, or follow us on Facebook (facebook.com/oasisapplianceandhome) to be the first to see new items arriving daily.

VOLUNTEER INCOME TAX ASSISTANCE (VITA):

IMG_3165If you are good with numbers and enjoy helping people, we would love your seasonal help on Saturdays between January-April from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Be trained by our certified instructors to file returns, or simply greet people and help them organize their information for the preparers. To date we’ve helped our neighbors save more than $3.9 million in tax credits and filing fees. This is a great way to make a practical difference and save families hundreds of dollars!  Contact terry.hoff@oohmemphis.com for details.
