We are thrilled to announce the Bickford Giants ended this year’s season by beating a team they hadn’t beaten in years to win the league championship! Thanks to great guidance by Coach Michael and Coach Barry, our middle school team not only learned to better their athletic skills, but more importantly were taught about character both on and off the field. Final score was 4 to 1.
Read on for detailed Game Notes from Coach Michael:
Geryone played a stellar centerfield taking away hits on multiple ocasions, prompting second baseman Daniel Moore to say, ‘I believe we had some angels in the outfield tonight!’
Rayford pitched six innings allowing one run anchored by a solid catching performance from Jury Pugh.
Isaac Bragg had a two RBI single to go along with the game winning grand slam saving catch.
As a whole, the boys hit and fielded the ball better than they had all year and really fed off one another for a great team victory.
Congrats to Geryone Speed, Dante Clark, Terrell Jones, Jury Pugh, Rayford Albright, Marquis Greer, Tracey Maxwell, Isaac Bragg, Daniel Moore, Quantarius Flowers, and Deonte Reed.
A very special thanks to Coach Tim and Joe Bragg from the ministry for the assistance and support of the boys throughout the season.
We are SO PROUD of you Giants!!
